Privacy Policy

BdayChecker ("we", "us") runs bdaychecker.com, a free website of birthday, age and date tools that anyone in the world can use. Questions about this policy go to contact@bdaychecker.com.

Dates you enter in the tools

Every calculator runs in your browser. The birth dates, names and other details you type into a tool are not sent to us, and we do not store them.

A web address can contain a date when you open or share a link that includes one, for example a link made with a tool's Copy link button. Like any other web address, it can then show up in our hosting provider's server logs and in our analytics.

What your browser keeps on your device

• Your light or dark mode choice, so the site looks the way you picked next time.
• The Birthday Calendar list, if you use that tool: names, birthdays and groups you add are saved in your browser's local storage only. Files you download from it (a calendar file or a backup) are made on your device.

You can delete these at any time by clearing your browser's site data for bdaychecker.com. The Birthday Calendar also has a Delete all button.

The contact form and email

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message. The form sends them to our inbox by email; the website does not store them. We use them only to read and answer your message, keep them only as long as that takes or as our records need, and delete them if you ask.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time. They are used to keep the site secure and working.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which tools are popular and how people find them. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google Search; it does not place cookies on your device.

Advertising

The site is free because it shows ads from Google AdSense.

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services, including this one, at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Your consent

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a consent message from Google before cookies are used for ads or analytics. You can accept, refuse or choose by purpose, and change your choice later from the privacy settings option that the message provides. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to some uses of it. The only personal information we hold directly is what you send us by email or through the contact form. Write to contact@bdaychecker.com and we will answer your request. For data collected by Google, you can also use the controls in your Google account and the links above.

Children

BdayChecker is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
